kNewspapers and Quantum Journalism
Welcome to kNewspapers.com, where you can Learn More, Buy the Book, or Join the Conversation. Back in 2005 when I started my adventure, Citizen Journalism was the common term big media used to describe what people like me were doing. I never thought the term fit because 1) the journalists were citizens themselves and 2) did I lose my journalist title just because I didn't receive a paycheck from a large media corporation? Of course not.
While grassroots journalism comes close to describing what I have been attempting over the last eight years, the term is still not up to the task of describing everything that is happening during the transition from big media (print/TV) to new media (online) and all the new players in the media landscape. This is why I have taken to using the term Quantum Journalism to describe what I'm doing. To learn more, keep reading.
